Tier-3 standard commercial data center CoLoCity has launched hybrid cloud services for the first time in Bangladesh on the integrated platform of Microsoft Azure Stack Hub and Dell Technologies. A knowledge sharing seminar was held at Banani Hotel Sheraton in the capital to give details about an extension service related to Azure Stack Hub. Apart from the seminar, the same event also featured technical sessions on Dell Cloud and Hyper Converged Equipment.
In the seminar held on Tuesday, April 23 in the evening with the participation of officials from various levels of the country’s technology sector, ColoCity Limited Managing Director Imad Ispahani, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Md Al Fuad, Dell Technologies Channel Director Chris Papa, Rajib Juneja, Lakshmi Narsimohan Cherry, Toh Wee Wee and Nazreen. R Lazaga and Azure Cloud Architect of Microsoft Bangladesh Suruj Ahmed and others were present.
In his speech, ColoCity Limited Managing Director Imad Ispahani said, through this integrated service of Dell and Microsoft, there will be a big change in the business IT infrastructure in the dynamic business environment of Bangladesh. According to the seminar, integrated with Dell technology creates a compliant hosting infrastructure for regulatory frameworks such as CS, CCM, PCI DSS and FedRAMP. ColoCity Cloud has launched a 15-day free trial (POC) to eliminate the fear of transferring data to a new platform.
More than a hundred officials from Dell, Microsoft, ColoCity and various levels of the country’s technology sector participated in this seminar. IT professionals and policy makers working in various companies in the country received technical guidance on Dell Cloud and Hyper Converged Equipment in the technical session of the seminar.
ColoCity has so far managed to save foreign exchange equivalent to $2 million by keeping the country’s data safe in the country. The company started in 2008 from Mohakhali in Dhaka, but soon the company is working to install this hybrid cloud infrastructure in several places including Jashore and Gazipur.
According to government estimates, the country now spends over $7 billion on cloud services. This cost is increasing day by day. By 2030 this expenditure will exceed $20 billion. In this case, international cloud infrastructures like ColoCity will become increasingly popular to save foreign currency.
