Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed urged people to be patient regarding the information that has been published in a national daily about the search for a large amount of illegal wealth.
When the report was published recently, Benazir responded by posting it on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday.
He wrote, “Some are very angry, very excited and write editorials, sub-editorials, articles at once. Please have a little patience. The announcement itself is ‘Kutsar kissa avi bhi baki hai‘, there are many things more to be told.”
It may be noted that, the Dainik Kaler Kantha has been publishing a series of news highlighting the various misdeeds and corruption of Benazir Ahmed, the former IGP. Last Sunday, the investigative reports published by Kaler Kantha under the title ‘Aladdin’s lamp in Benazir’s house’, ‘Flat worth three and a half crore taka for his girl’s rest’ and today, on Tuesday titles ‘Benazir’s resort in forest land’, ‘Land properties in St. Martin Cox’s Bazar’ went viral on social media. He was criticized for sharing the news there. In such a situation, the former Inspector General of Police locked his Facebook page.
