From facilitating expatriate communication to linking to the government’s 333 helpline; The world’s popular platform Imo has continued various social service works throughout the year. In recognition of this, Google awarded the company with the ‘Social Impact Award’.
Google recently announced the winners at an event (#AppSummit2023) organized by Google in the Asia-Pacific region. Where imo was given this Partner Recognition Award in the Social Impact category.
imo is empowering users by connecting them across barriers of distance and borders; Moreover, the brand is also working towards the development of the society. Examples include the 333-helpline channel, the imo Hero story short-film, support for the education of underprivileged children and various initiatives undertaken by imo to serve people, including flood relief. In addition, imo has donated educational stationery to Jaago Foundation to ensure quality education for all, helping 1200 underprivileged children throughout the year. These social initiatives are having a positive impact on the lives of Bangladeshis living in the country and abroad.
