A science drama was held on Tuesday at the National Museum of Science and Technology located in the capital’s administrative area on food adulteration. The play titled ‘Dushta Chakra’ (Evil Cycle) was performed by a group of 10th class students of Sherebangla Nagar Balika Bidyalaya in the capital. Ex-Minister of Science and Technology Ministry and a freedom fighter, Architect Yeafesh Osman enjoyed their great performance.
While speaking as the chief guest, Architect Yeafesh Osman said about the drama organized with young students, “The country is currently moving towards Smart Bangladesh from Digital Bangladesh. However, the vision of Digital Bangladesh brought revolution in the mobile sector under the leadership of the Ministry of Science and Technology. As a result, every student, individual and family of the country is getting opportunities to practice science and science is now being applied in every sector of the country. The young generation does not know the history of the sacrifices of the great liberation war. They should tell this glorious history. This young generation, rich in technological knowledge and energized by the light of science, will take the country to unique heights. 2 boys and 2 girls have hoisted the flag of Bangladesh on the top of Himalayas. Here the contribution of men and women is equal”.
Speaking as a special guest at the event, Munir Hasan, Vice President of Bangladesh Science Popularization Association, said, “No matter what science, technology and robots are applied, everyone should have integrity, morality and patriotism as individuals.”
While speaking as the president, Director General of National Science and Technology Museum Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said, “The nation is being made aware of the issue of food adulteration through science drama. National Science and Technology Museum is making people science-minded through multi-dimensional science competitions. It is not just a museum; it is an academic institution engaged in nation-building”.
