The Narai canal that used to flow from Rampura in the capital towards Meradia was almost dead. The Canal, filled with sand and construction materials, is now like full of autumn flowers. City-weary people went out for some entertainment in the afternoon. There, in the 52nd year of Victory, a group of robotics showed their 3 dimensional capabilities, in water-land-space technology. Self-made rescue robots, rovers and drones lined the shelves at the ‘Bijoy Robochakra’ exhibition to celebrate Victory Day in a different dimension.
The Victorious Red and Green was flying high in the autumn sky. A robot soccer was found scoring a goal with its robotic legs. The rescue rover ran next to the mechanical vehicle on the steep road for rescue work. Cleaned the water dirt with newly developed river-cleaning hover robot vessel. In this victory of youth, the Narai Canal, which was about to die, got its life back on the celebration of the Victory.
World champion and three-time gold winner Team Atlas organized the robot innovation exhibition at Jhilpara in Aftab Nagar of the capital on Saturday afternoon. Led by the team leader Sunny Zubay, visitors including children participated in the football game with their self-made soccer robot. Sometimes the rover was found carrying the national flag and was advancing on the pitch of the road; Another drone was circling in the sky – then the voice of the presence sounded ‘Joy Bangla’. This was as if the joy of winning a new war.
On the display, about a dozen of different types of robots were lined up on a table. Two robots modeled after the Hollywood movie ‘WALL E’ welcomed the visitors at the entrance. One of these was used in the promotion of the country’s first cyber thriller movie ‘Antarjaal’. Another humanoid robot was built by Nazif Ahian, the youngest 5th grader in Team Atlas, a team of more than 500 members.
In the late afternoon, the Bengalis once again showed their self-made drones by flying the flag concerted to the tune of the national anthem. Jannatul Ferdous, Team Atlas’ Women Youngs-Code Black team leader, was present in this event. There, she promised to free women from technology ignorance on Victory Day.
Izhar Hossain Ifti flew the drone in the exhibition. The Soccer Robot was directed by Sakibul Ahsan Teham. Fahim Shahriar Erich served as the rover pilot. Team leader Sunny Zubair operated the water-cleaning robot. He expressed his intention to organize such events on a larger scale countrywide in the future.
