27 services under Citizen Charter of Ministry of Textiles and Jute have been added to myGov platform, the government’s integrated service delivery platform (web and mobile applications). At the same time, a total of 146 services of offices/organizations under this ministry have been digitized. Organized by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute and Aspire to Innovate (a2i) technical support services were launched on the digital platform at the Ministry of Textiles and Jute conference room at the Secretariat on Tuesday (November 7).
Minister of Textiles and Jute Golam Dastgir Ghazi opened the digitally transformed services to all in a day-long workshop on ‘Opening services of Ministry of Textiles and Jute on myGov platform’.
As it was informed at the event, currently, there are more than 40 lakh registered customers of myGov. Among them, more than 2.7 million service applications, more than 2.6 million have already been processed. Apart from this, myGov citizens do not have to provide information repeatedly to get services once they have given the information. Every time the application is made, the information in the citizen’s profile is auto-filled. It reduces time, cost and travel a lot. Citizens are able to express their satisfaction and opinion about myGov services.
Seven departments under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute have been taken under the scope of digitization in the myGov Rapid Digitization process. In all, a total of 146 services have been digitized. Of these, 75 services have been opened to citizens on a priority basis. The estimated number of customers of 146 services is 48 thousand.

Jute and Textiles Minister Golam Dastgir Ghazi said in the speech of the chief guest on the occasion that today, including 27 citizen chartered services of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, a total of 146 services of departments/organizations have been digitized and added to myGov platform, so that all services can be received from one platform. It is really a pleasure.
He said, with the slogan ‘Digital Bangladesh’s contribution, all solutions at one address’, myGov app was inaugurated in 2020 by the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu. The great father of independent Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali nation father of all time, brought independence to the country and his daughter Sheikh Hasina transformed the country into a developing state. Her aim is to establish Bangladesh as a developed-rich-smart state by 2041.
He expressed hope that all civic services should be provided online without any harassment in order to establish a smart country. He said that the Ministry of Textiles and Jute will continue to play an important role in making the country a smart Bangladesh by utilizing the policies and plans adopted by the government.
He also said that the government services under the supervision of a2i and the Cabinet Department have launched the program of using the ‘myGov’ platform for the concerned parties with the aim of implementing ‘Government Service in Hand’. By using this ‘myGov’ platform, the stakeholders can apply online for the respective services and avail the services.
While speaking as the special guest, the Project Director (Joint Secretary) of a2i Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuya said, myGov platform offers online registration, service application, and payment, application office processing and online services. myGov is therefore a Smart Service Platform of Smart Government. From now on, the citizens will get the services of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute on this integrated service platform. We will fully cooperate in digitizing all the services of the Ministry.
