Urging everyone to be aware of the use of social media, Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said that today’s students are one of the key artisans of creating a smart generation and a smart citizen. So there is no option to improve them in information technology. The smart generation needs to be more aware in the use of information technology especially social media. A strict attitude must be taken against all forms of drugs, terrorism, juvenile delinquency and rumours. Above all, smart citizens will be the first component of smart Bangladesh through the hands of this smart generation.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that today’s students are going to be the leaders of Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Prime Minister Bangabandhu, who is dreaming of building a smart Bangladesh in 2041. Therefore, smart generation is needed to build a smart Bangladesh. Those who will be frugal in the use of state resources such as: gas, electricity, water etc., will be strongly convinced in protecting the environment and biodiversity. Apart from conventional education, they will participate in various sports and cultural activities including science club, robotics, scouting, debating and so on. They will build the golden Bangladesh of Bangabandhu’s non-communal spirit through tasteful and elegant behavior.
