On the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day 2023, Bangladesh’s first feature length animation film based on Bangabandhu’s biography “Mujib Amar Pita” was screened under the initiative of Dhaka University Film Council.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak officially inaugurated the open exhibition of the film as the chief guest at Dhaka University’s TSC today.
Based on the writings of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Information and Communication Technology Department produced this animation movie with the aim of conveying the story of Bangabandhu’s life to the new generation of children and teenagers of the country and abroad.
Prior to the open exhibition, State Minister Palak said that the protesting youth of Tungipara became a symbol of hope and desire of the people of a country, a dreamer of freedom, a great hero of history. The stages of progress along the Great Struggle; the language movement of 1952 has been highlighted in this film.
He also said that after watching this film, everyone including children and teenagers of the new generation will be motivated and inspired about Bangabandhu’s life ideals and philosophy and reflect on their own lives.
The IC Division Secretary Md. Samsul Arefin paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 32 Dhanmondi in the capital this morning by placing a wreath on the portrait of the Father of the Nation on the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary and National Children’s Day-2023 celebrations. Officials of ICT department were present on the occasion.
