Bangladesh-Japan will exchange startups to develop startup culture. Iwama Kiminori, Ambassador of Japan appointed to Bangladesh, discussed this matter in a private meeting with the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak at the ICT Tower on Monday.
In the meeting, the ambassador agreed on the exchange of 25 startups from Bangladesh and 25 startups from Japan for a total of 50 startups. Also, the ambassador expressed a positive attitude towards increasing business relations between Bangladesh and other issues.
Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director Ranjit Kumar along with senior officials of ICT department were present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Information and Communication Technology the State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that we are giving special importance to startups, innovation and research in building Smart Bangladesh announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He proposed the establishment of Bangladesh-Japan startup exchange, Japan-Bangladesh IT Summit, Japan-Bangladesh IT University to develop startup culture.
Iwama Kiminori, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh, said that Bangladesh government has taken and implemented various programs with great importance to the information technology sector of the country. Bangladesh and Japan have many opportunities to work together in the information technology sector.
