“Bangladesh Association of Contact Centers and Outsourcing (BACCO)”, the single and central trade body dedicated to the BPO outsourcing industry in Bangladesh, has received ISO certification for the first time in terms of efficiency in organizational management. The organization informed the news media on Wednesday (January 18, 2022) one month after receiving the certificate.
It is said that on December 10, the country’s first recognized private ISO certification organization and CMMI partner UNICERT (United Certification Services Limited) has achieved the honor of receiving the “ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality Management System)” certificate. On December 17, 2022, UNICERT officially handed over the certificate to BACCO at the 11th Annual General Meeting and Banquet organized by BACCO.
The press release also stated that, keeping the highest potential development in mind, business expansion, international expansion of the BPO trade industry, for the benefit of all stakeholders and organizations involved in this industry, BACCO has been recognized by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) for its tireless work, efforts and international quality customer service. This prestigious certificate has been awarded for meeting all the requirements of the prescribed “Quality Management System (ISO 9001)”.
It may noted that, BACCO has been established in 2011, as a single and central trade organization for the country’s BPO/outsourcing industry, has been continuously working with numerous institutions and stakeholders at the government, private and international levels to achieve the “Smart Bangladesh 2041” goal of the Bangladesh government. At present, the number of BACCO member institutions is 276. By 2025, the organization aims to generate USD 1 billion revenue in the BPO industry and create 1 lakh jobs for the youth in the IT-ITES field.
