The police have recovered 108 mobile phones that were lost in the past one month in different police stations including Sadar Upazila of Kurigram. Later, the concerned police station called the original owners and handed over the mobile phones.
Kurigram District Police informed this information in a press release on Monday (January 9).
According to the police, 55 mobile phones were recovered from Kurigram Sadar Police Station, one from Rajarhat Police Station, 17 from Phulbari Police Station, four from Nageshwari Police Station and 31 from Roumari Police Station in December in view of complaints of loss of 108 smartphones.
After getting back the lost mobile, Ramiz Mia said, ‘One of my smartphones was lost last November. After filing a complaint at Sadar police station, the police recovered the phone last month. Later I was called and given the phone. Getting the phone has benefited me a lot.’
Kurigram Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khan Mohammad Shahariar said that the lost phone has been recovered and handed over to the rightful owner. We take such complaints seriously.
The Media Spokesperson of Kurigram Police Additional Superintendent of Police Ruhul Amin said, Our sincere services will continue for a safe Kurigram.
