Maruti Suzuki has announced great news at the beginning of the New Year. The company reported that their export numbers in 2022 were a record. During this time the company has supplied more than 260 thousand vehicles in the market.
In 2021, Maruti Suzuki exported 25,450 vehicles. Therefore, it exported 28 percent more than the previous record in 2022. If looking at previous exports, Maruti exported 85,208 vehicles in 2020, 1,7,190 vehicles in 2019 and 1,13,824 vehicles in 2018.
Most notably, Maruti Suzuki exported more than double the number of cars it exported in 2019, i.e. before the Corona pandemic, in 2022.
Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “Crossing two lakh export milestones in two consecutive years is a reflection of reliability, quality, reliability, performance and capability. It’s all about delighting customers worldwide”.
Currently Maruti Suzuki exports 16 models. The most exported models by Maruti Suzuki in 2022 were Dzire, Swift, S-Presso, Baleno and Brezza.
