An exchange meeting was held with the participation of stakeholders to establish good governance at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Gopalganj.
The exchange meeting was held on Wednesday (November 30) at 11 am in room 501 of the Academic Building. The meeting was presided over by the Engineer of the University SM Iskandar Ali in the presence of teachers, officials, employees, student representatives, parent representatives, public representatives, journalists and other invited guests.
In the meeting, the speakers outlined a guidance on the problems and prospects of the university.
Earlier, as part of the National Constitution Day celebrations, a seminar titled ‘Principles of the Constitution: Political Ideology of Bangabandhu’ was held in Room 501 of the Academic Building of the University in collaboration with the Law Department on Tuesday (November 29). A Quiz Contest also held to mark the day.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. AQM Mahbub was present in the seminar as the Chief Guest. The seminar was presided over by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and the President of the Law Department Dr. Md. Raziur Rahman. The learned District and Sessions Judge and Additional Registrar of Bangladesh Supreme Court SK. M. Tofail Hasan was connected online. The seminar was conducted by Nahida Siddika Neela, Lecturer of Law Department. Besides, teachers-students and officials-employees of various departments were present in the seminar.
Presenter of the article SK. M. Tofail Hasan highlighted the historical context of the constitution of Bangladesh. He said that the political wisdom, prudence and democratic spirit of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman have emerged in this constitution. Besides, the hope and desire of the Bengali nation has been reflected in this constitution.
Chief guest Professor Dr. A. Q. M. Mahbub said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman not only gifted a map to our country, he also gifted a beautiful constitution to this country. The fundamental principles of the Constitution framed by the Father of the Nation are the key to establishing the unity, prosperity and social justice of this country. He urged the young generation to take the ideals of the father of the nation and take the country forward. President of the seminar Dr. Md. Rajiur Rahman thanked the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government for declaring November 4 as the National Constitution Day of
Bangladesh. He said that the constitution of Bangladesh is one of the best constitutions in the world.
