The organizers commented that the theoretical foundation of the fresh university graduates is very good. But, sometimes the lack of practical experience creates limitations in the application of the acquired knowledge. Besides, not everyone gets the opportunity of industry exposure while studying. As a result, some deficit remains.
This hackathon aims to help participants overcome this gap and introduce them to some basic industry practices. This is for those who have passed out of university and are interested in joining the IT industry as a blockchain software developer
Those who will be selected from this hackathon will be given internship and fellowship opportunities in various web3 companies of the country.
Tariq Adnan Moon, chief technical officer of Affine, the main sponsor of this event, said that our country has talented software engineers. But despite having high IQ and technical skills, many people have little understanding of blockchain technology. Due to which there are very few blockchain engineers in our country. He feels that the event is an opportunity for local tech graduates to test their mettle.
Bangladesh Open Source Network- BDOSN General Secretary Munir Hasan said, “The concept of blockchain software has not yet been adopted in the industry of our country. Moreover, no attachment is formed with the industry during studies. This initiative will fill that gap. Along with that, it will be more helpful to develop the interested people as blockchain software developers. He hopes that if tech companies come forward, it is possible to spread this type of organization on a larger scale.
