Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) has informed the members about the changes in the technology sector tax VAT in the 2022-23 budget and what to do in this regard. This trade association held a workshop on the changes that have come in this year’s budget at the BASIS meeting room in Kawran Bazar on Saturday afternoon.
Kishlur Rahman presented the keynote on behalf of KMS & Associates, a consultancy firm contracted to BASIS, in front of hundreds of members at the workshop. In the presentation, he explained the strategy of how to pay VAT and taxes more accurately and quickly in accordance with the rules and regulations in the changing situation, increasing the scope of taxation in the software sector.
Chairman BASIS Advisory Standing Committee M Rashidul Hasan and Co-chairmen Shah Imraul Qaish and Uttam Kumar Pal among others spoke at the workshop chaired by BASIS President Russell T Ahmed.
