They have been given this honor for taking various initiatives to enrich robotics, programming and freelancing sectors in Comilla district to achieve the capabilities of the fourth industrial revolution. Among the initiatives taken by them, the establishment of Mini Fabrication Laboratory (Fablab) at the District Commissioner’s office, the formation of 94 robotics and programming clubs at the upazila level in the district, and the creation of more than 1,200 small programmers and 1,000 freelancers through training are noteworthy.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque handed over the medals to them on behalf of the Prime Minister at Osmani Smriti Auditorium in the capital on Sunday (July 23) on National Public Service Day.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina cheered everyone by clapping through video conference from Ganobhaban.
Prime Minister’s Chief Secretary Ahmad Kaykaus, Senior Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department NM Zeaul Alam, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Shahidul Islam and Security Developer Unit also received this award on ‘Innovation in Public Service’ which was presided over by Farhad Hossain, the State Minister for Public Administration. Md. Haroon Or Rashid, Programmer of ICT Directorate, accepted this award on behalf of the developer unit.
Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary KM Ali Azam, Cabinet Secretary Khandkar Anwarul Islam, Jatiya Sangsad Standing Committee on Public Administration Ministry AM Ashiqur Rahman and others were present on the occasion.
