NASA has published a colorful picture of the universe 13 billion years ago. This is the first time that images of galaxies taken by the world’s most powerful telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope, have been released. The image contains a portion of the galaxies in the universe. It has been named SMACS 0723.
The telescope has 18 mirrors capable of reflecting light. Which are made of beryllium metal made of gold. All in all, it will create a huge mirror with a diameter of 6.5 meters. Where the diameter of the mirror of the previous Hubble Telescope is 2.4 meters.
US President Joe Biden released the picture at the White House, highlighting the global contribution of the United States to the advancement of science. Revealing the first picture taken by James Webb in a tweet, he said, “The first image from the James Webb Space Telescope represents a historic moment for science and technology. For astronomy and space exploration. And for America and all humanity.”

Experts say: ‘The James Webb Space Telescope, built over three decades, could change our perception of the universe with new images. For example, by depicting the infrared radiation contained by it, it will be possible to know how the first primordial stars of the universe took shape more than 13 billion years ago.
The James Webb Telescope went into space on December 25 last year to learn about the birth and evolution of galaxies and the cause of the formation of stars and planets. This space telescope took about 30 years to design and build; which cost 10 billion dollars.
