With the slogan ‘Together towards Progress’, nine candidates, comprising of experienced youth, submitted their nomination papers at the e-Cab office in Dhanmondi on Wednesday.
The candidates are: Shomi Kaiser (Dhansiri), Mohammad Abdul Waheed Tamal (ComJagat), Mohammad Sahab Uddin (Diabetes Store), Nasima Akter (Revery), Asif Ahnaf (Breakbyt), Mohammad Saidur Rahman (Digital Hub), MD Ruhul Chhotan (Focus Frame), Shahriar Hasan (Paper Fly) and Syeda Ambrin Reza (Foodpanda).
Among the candidates there are 4 established energetic members including 5 founding members. One third of them represent women.
Submitting the nomination papers, Shomi Kaiser, leader of the ‘Ogrogami’ team said, “The spontaneous participation of the candidates who came to e-Cab today and the rush to buy nominations shows the level of valuation of e-Cab. We hope that the voters will not forget of choosing the candidates for an experienced and energetic representation to advance e-Cab.”
“Each candidate of the panel is competent enough in their respective fields”, she added.
She further said that this panel has been formed with the members who are well ahead in the management of an organization, well accepted with their personal acquaintances, visionary in management policy and strategy and those who are ahead in business skills. Here, all the 9 candidates are tested and lively in their own places of leadership.
It may be noted that, the election for the 2022-24 bi-annual executive committee of e-Cab will be held on June 18. The final list of candidates will be released on May 30. According to the final voter list published on May 10, the number of voters in this election is 795.
This year, Board Chairman Amin Helali and two members Abdur Razzak and Bazlur Rahman will discharge their duties to hold the e-Cab election. Abdul Aziz is serving as the board secretary.
