The first full lunar eclipse of the year will be on Monday, May 16. The lunar eclipse will last from 9:29 am to 10:53 am Bangladesh time. However, this lunar eclipse is not likely to be visible in Bangladesh.
This information was revealed by the National Museum of Science and Technology on Saturday, May 14.
Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, Director General of the National Museum of Science and Technology, said in an official briefing that the lunar eclipse would not be visible in Bangladesh during the day. However, he also mentioned that this solar event is instructive for all.
It may be noted that, the first full lunar eclipse of the year is going to happen on Monday, May 16. The lunar eclipse will be visible in several regions, including southwestern Europe, southwestern Asia, Africa, most of North America, South America, the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic and Antarctica. When the shadow of the earth falls on the moon, it is known as ‘lunar eclipse’. The lunar eclipse will last from 9:29 am to 10:53 am Bangladesh time.
