BTCL launches pre-paid service to keep customers safe from billing hazards. Through this, the country’s largest state-owned telecommunication company also started fully ‘digital billing’ activities.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar inaugurated the service at the meeting room of BTCL’s head office in Eskaton on Sunday. In his inaugural address, the Minister expressed hope that BTCL would be a profitable and leading company in the telecommunication sector in the coming Fourth Industrial Revolution and 5G technology.
BTRC Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikder and Additional Secretary Posts and Telecommunications Mahbub-ul-Alam were present on the occasion as special guests. The BTRC chairman hopes that BTCL will go further in the future with many more state-of-the-art services and full digital management.
BTCL’s managing director Dr. Md. Rafiqul Matin; Deputy Managing Directors and members of the organization including TRNB President Rashed Mehedi and General Secretary SM Masuduzzaman Robin were present in the program.
It was informed at the event that BTCL customers can now apply for the package of prepaid service of their choice through My BTCL portal from home. Customers will be able to take prepaid telephone and high speed Jipon internet connection without any collateral.
BTCL’s prepaid customers will get the opportunity to talk to BTCL Unlimited and other operators from BTCL through 11 packages at low cost and internet usage.
In the prepaid package, the facility of 30 days unlimited talk from BTCL to BTCL will be available for only at Taka 100. 48 paisa per minute from BTCL to other operators and BTRC fixed rate will be applicable for international calls.
