Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has unveiled the book- ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib’s 7th March Speech: Epic of Politics’. The book was composed analyzing 26 sentences picked from the historic 7th March speech of Bangabandhu.
Before the keynote address at the Cabinet meeting in the Cabinet Room of the Prime Minister’s Office started on Monday, she unveiled the book as well as its mobile app and e-book.
The book was published by the Department of Information and Communication Technology under the planning and overall supervision of State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak. The book was translated from Bengali into English by a senior journalist Syed Badrul Ahsan and was edited by Fakhrul Alam, former professor of English at Dhaka University, NM Zeaul Alam, senior secretary of Information and Communication Technology and Ajit Kumar Sarkar, senior journalist. In addition, the manuscript of the book was reviewed by the former vice chancellor of Dhaka University Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, former Dhaka University Professor Muntasir Mamun, Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.
Bangabandhu completed his speech with 108 sentences in 19 minutes on March 7, 1971 at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan. Dr. SA Malek, Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury, Professor Anisuzzaman and 26 eminent intellectuals, writers and journalists of the country analyzed 26 sentences from this speech. The use of words and sentences in the speech has raised the history of a nation and the struggle for its right to self-determination, exploitation and deprivation and to turn against it. There is also talk of a strategy to wage war and people’s war. All this has been analyzed in the analysis of the authors.
