Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the State Minister for ICT termed the relationship with neighboring India as a ‘genuine friend’. In building digital Bangladesh the role of India is as a genuine friend just like it was during the liberation war, he commented. With the help of this country, as part of the cultural revolution, an India-Bangladesh Edu-Entertrainment Center is being set up in each district’s Muktijoddha Complex. Documentary images of education-training and proper entertainment will be shown here. Palak has called to build Bangabandhu’s non-communal golden Bengal by uniting the children of freedom fighters of each union and defeating the new generation of traitors in cyber war.
He made the call at a conference on Sunday on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence.
As a part of the preparation for the cyber war, 25 laptops were handed over to the ‘freedom fighters’ of the liberation war generation in Bangladesh on behalf of Sajeeb Wazed, the ICT advisor to the Prime Minister,
While addressing as a special guest, Palak expressed his sincere thanks and profound gratitude to India and said, “We would like to acknowledge the contribution and cooperation of India in turning Bangladesh a role model for the world, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in last 13 years. India has also given us grants to build 12 high-tech parks and 6 digital employment centers.”
The President of Bangladesh Muktiyuddha Mancha- Aminul Islam Bulbul presided over the event.
Referring to the rumors spread by the reactionaries about India, he asked whether Bangladesh has become India as the Awami League has been in power for 13 consecutive years. Has the sound of Azan stopped in the mosques? Did anyone have to hide the prayer caps? Are you barred to keep beard? So, why is this propaganda? They want to destroy our communal harmony by spreading rumors only, excluding ethics. Seeks to destroy relations with neighboring states through religious incitement. So, we have to prepare against them right now.
Palak mentions three obstacles behind this preparation. The obstacles are militancy, corruption and drugs. Therefore, he urged the youth present to take oath to save the youth from these three.
Liberation War Minister AKM Mozammel Haque was present as the chief Guest while the Indian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dorai Kumar Swamy, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Vice Chancellor Satya Prasad Majumder and Member of Parliament Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon spoke at the function which was conducted by Al Mamun, General Secretary of Bangladesh Muktijuddho Mancha.
