APNIC is the regional Internet address registry for the Asia-Pacific region. It is one of the world’s five RIRs and is part of the Number Resource Organization. APNIC provides numbers resource allocation and registration services that support the global operation of the internet.
Sumon Ahmed Sabir, Chief Technology Officer of Fiber at Home, has once again been elected as a member of the APNIC Executive Council (EC). He was the policy chair of the Asia-Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC) before being elected in the second round getting a maximum of 4,084 votes.
The election results were announced on Thursday, the last day of the APNIC’s 53rd conference. This year’s APNIC Annual General Meeting and Conference was held virtually.
Gaurab Raj Upadhaya has been elected as the chairman of the 8-member epic executive committee. Vincent Achie Atienza has been elected secretary. Treasurer Kenny Huang.
The other members elected to the executive committee are Sumon Ahmed Sabir, Yoshinobu Matsuzaki, Feng Leng, Paul Wilson and Cam Sze Yeung.
These members elect will be in charge of APNIC for the next two years.
