In recent years, Apple and the company’s TVPlus subscription service have turned to production. Apple TVPlus is working on a number of projects to enhance the quality of its own and quality content. Following this, US tech giant Apple is making a movie on ‘Formula One’ racing.
In the meantime, the film production contract has been finalized; Hollywood superstar William Bradley also known as Brad Pitt has been contracted to play the lead role. The involvement of Sir Lewis Hamilton, the star F1 driver in the movie, has also been confirmed.
Like other big-budget movies produced by streaming services, the deal is close to $ 130 million. That’s what the technology site 9to5 Mac informed.
Sources said that Pitt’s character in Apple’s Formula One movie will be a retired racer. Pitt’s character will show a young driver the way to victory with the goal of success for the last time. The movie will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, the director of the upcoming movie ‘Top Gun’.
However, this is not the first movie of ‘Fight Club’ and ‘Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ star with Apple. Pitt is already starring in another big budget movie from Apple TV Plus, with George Clooney. The Pitt-Clooney duo was acclaimed for their performances in the ‘Ocean’ series.
Although the movie is based on Formula One race, the organizers of the world-famous competition have yet to confirm whether it will be officially linked to the movie.
Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killer of the Flower Moon’ produced by Apple has already come under discussion. The movie, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is set to release on the TV Plus platform by the end of this year.
