Law Minister Anisul Haque said the number of litigations has been reduced due to the formation of virtual courts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The minister conveyed the message while responding to a question from reporters at his office in the secretariat on Sunday.
The law minister said, ‘The number of the litigations has increased. This number was supposed to increase further in the Corona pandemic situation. But we have been able to settle two lakh cases by virtual court law. If there was no law, these two lakh cases would have been added. There are cases that are waiting to be settled. We have been able to reduce it to some extent.’
