Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) has selected Dr. Md. Javed Hossain Khan for the Gold Medal for a research paper published in 2018 on Nano Biotechnology.
This information has been conveyed in a letter signed by UGC Research Support and Publications Director. Md. Kamal Hossain on Monday.
The letter states, “Congratulations to you on being selected for the UGC Gold Medal for your research article on the above topic published in 2018”.
Dr. Md. Javed Hossain Khan joined the Chemical Engineering Department of Jessore University of Science and Technology- JUST in 2012. He had previously completed Doctor of Engineering from Wasida University in Japan in 2011, Tohoku University in Japan in 2014 and Post Doctorate in 2017 from Henan University in China.
He set up the NAME Lab at the university with the experience of supervising joint research projects with more than seven countries of the world for the development of nanotechnology research. The lab has already applied for three patent rights.
More than 95 research articles have been published in various international research journals of Dr. Md. Javed Hossain Khan. He has also presented research papers at more than 60 international conferences. He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Deputy Director of the Center for Sophisticated Instrumentation Research Laboratories.
Dr. Md. Javed Hossain Khan has been placed in the list of the best researchers in the world published from Elsevier in 2019 and 2020. He has also been awarded as the best researcher from JUST for his contribution in research.
