For the first time, admission tests for the first year of graduation of 20 general and science and technology universities of the country are being held in a group system to alleviate the misery of the admission seeking students. Students of Commerce Department belonging to ‘C’ unit will take part in the admission test on Monday. In Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST), 899 students will sit in the ‘C’ unit.
On October 17, the journey of the cluster system tests started through the admission test of the students of the science department belonging to the ‘A’ unit. The results of admission test of ‘A’ and ‘B’ units have already been published. According to the GST-enabled integrated admission test website, the admission test will be held on November 1 from 12 noon to 1 pm for students who have passed the Commerce Department in the ‘C’ unit. However, the students have been instructed to reach the concerned center one hour before the commencement of the examination to complete other formalities related to the admission test.
The convening committee has informed that the admission test will be held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building of the university. For the convenience of the students, digital banners will have roll numbers, centers and building indicators in different places of the university. At the same time, BNCC and other volunteers will be present at the entrance of all the buildings where the admission test will be held to assist the students. Apart from this, various student organizations working in the university will also help the admission seeking students.
According to the Transport Administrator’s Office, four vehicles will ply continuously on the Palbari-Campus route and two on the Churamankati-Campus route from 9:30 am to 11:00 pm for the admission test takers.
About the preparation for the admission test, JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Anwar Hossain said, all preparations have been made for the examination of ‘C’ unit. Executive Magistrates and adequate law enforcement agencies will be engaged to avoid any kind of disturbance during the admission test and to ensure a conducive environment for the test. During the test, no candidate or anyone in charge can use any type of electronic device including mobile phone. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone who uses electronic devices or undertakes any misconduct.
