Professor Dr. Munaj Ahmed Noor, the Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh has been placed in a prestigious position among the top researchers of the globe published in AD scientific Index 2021.
On Sunday (October 10), the AD Scientific Index, an internationally renowned organization based on the citations and other indexes of more than seven million scientists from 13,531 universities in 206 countries around the world, published the ranking.
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Munaj Ahmed Noor is one of the best scientists in the world for important research in the field of education and technology including concrete technology, urban safety, climate change, Earthquake Disaster.
On Wednesday (October 13, 2021) afternoon, the teachers and staff of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh has extended best wishes and congratulations to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor for gaining a prestigious position in the list of the world’s best scientists in the AD Scientific Index 2021.
University Registrar (Additional Resp onsibilities) Md. Ashraf Uddin, Senior Systems Analyst Muhammad Shahinul Kabir, Head of Education Department (Additional Responsibilities) Md. Ashrafuzzaman, Assistant Professor of ICT Department Samsuddin Ahmed, Head of ICT Department (Additional Responsibilities) Farzana Akter and other university teachers, Officers and staff were present.
Before performing his duties in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Munaj Ahmed Noor has served as the Vice-Chancellor of the National University. He also served as the Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT).
Professor Munaj Ahmed Noor graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He later earned his PhD in 2000 from the University of Tokyo. He completed his post-doctoral degree in seismology in 2007. In 2005, he participated in a brief Private Public Partnership (PPP) program in the Netherlands. In 2008, he completed training in earthquake resistance design at a nuclear power plant in Italy.
He also participated in the Disaster Risk Reduction Training Program conducted by Ward Bank. During his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor of the National University, he played an important role in the digitization of the University, the creation of session sessions and the creation of the College Education Development Program. During his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), he also played an important role in modernizing the teaching-learning of the university.
Munaj Ahmed Noor thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and said, “I am grateful to Hon’ble Prime Minister for making this honor possible by working under the direction of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”
He said, “With the blessings of the Prime Minister, I will continue to try to make a more important contribution to the education sector in Bangladesh in the days to come.”
