China has added cryptocurrency mining to its “draft” list of negative industries. And the country restricts or bans investment in the industries and sectors on this list. According to Bitcoin.com, China’s Development and Reform Commission will hold a public hearing on the list on October 14. However, public opinion is skeptical about whether China’s negative initiatives in cryptocurrency mining will change.
China has already outlawed cryptocurrency transactions. China has claimed that the digitized currency could lead to money laundering and other financial misconduct.
China, however, is testing its own cryptocurrency. The idea is that the country wants a digital currency that they can control directly.
