Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasized further modernization of the education system to keep pace with the world situation including science and technology.
“We think the world is moving forward, science and technology are moving forward, we have to keep up with it,” he said.
Highlighting the ongoing activities of the government to build a digital Bangladesh, the Prime Minister said, “Since we are building a digital Bangladesh, we have taken steps to build a digital Bangladesh, we have to move forward on the basis of the policy that we have undertaken.”
The Prime Minister declared, if the world moves forward in the field of science and technology to keep pace with the world situation, we can never be left behind by any means.
Highlighting the importance of science education, the Prime Minister said, “I have noticed the reluctance of the children of our country towards science.” We had a time when there were no students in the science department. We value science education. We have made 12 universities of science and technology.
The Prime Minister said this while watching the presentation of the draft National Curriculum Outline at Ganobhaban on Monday (September 13).
