Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) will not take any responsibility for the corona test certificate without passport number of the passengers who want to go abroad to cross the ‘immigration’ at the airport and land port. Recently, the Associate Director of the JUST Genome Center, Professor. Md. Iqbal Kabir Zahid has given letters to Jessore district police, Benapole land port and other places.
In the letter sent by Professor. Md. Iqbal Kabir Zahid writes, it was said that in case of general inspection, it is not possible to verify the identity of the sample giver as the passport number is not attached. In this case, if the passport number is not mentioned along with the result of the Covid-19 sample test for the passengers going abroad, the authority of Jessore University of Science and Technology will not bear the responsibility of the report of the test. It is to be noted that the authorities of Jessore University of Science and Technology collect the samples of the passengers who want to go abroad by verifying their identities on their own responsibility and in that case ensure the correct result of the examination of Covid-19.
For the sake of the reputation of the country and that of JUST Genome Center abroad, he requested the passengers to go to the university campus with the passport numbers for the corona test by filling up the form properly.
Professor. Md. Iqbal Kabir Zahid further said that samples are being collected at the Genome Center seven days a week from 10 am to 1 pm by paying the prescribed fee of Taka 1,500. Results are being sent by sending a text message to the designated website and mobile phone within just 12 hours of submitting the sample. Passengers wishing to travel abroad must bring their passport with them when providing samples.
