Examinations of postgraduate students of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) will start from Sunday, September 12, in order to facilitate the way for the future and careers of the students. As per the decision of the government, full preparations are being made to open the university including the residential halls by October 15 as the examinations will take place at the physical presence of the examinees.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the university’s deans, chairmen, provosts, registrars and examination controllers in the conference room of the administrative building of JUST on Saturday afternoon. It was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Md. Anwar Hossain.
At the meeting, it was decided to take the examinations physically for the postgraduate level from 12th September to 30th September. Students who wish to reside in the residential hall must apply along with their respective departmental chairs. Students who have applied for the position will have to come to the university campus on September 10. Samples will be collected for the Covid-19 test by measuring the body temperature of the students before entering the university. If the result of the sample test of a student is positive, arrangements will be made to send him home in compliance with the hygiene rules under the management of the university. Later, if he recovers, arrangements will be made for him to be examined by the concerned department. At the meeting, it was decided to cancel the leave of all the doctors, nurses and medical staff of the medical center of the university during the examination, considering the health protection of the students. During the examination, the students will be given health check-up every alternate day.
During the meeting, it was decided to follow the hygiene rules in transporting the examinees who are outside the campus during the examination. On October 15, all teachers, officials and employees of the university were instructed to take the corona vaccine at their own responsibility. The meeting agreed to start the graduation examination of the university in the first week of October. It was decided that their examination schedule would also be informed in time.
