In order to reduce digital inequality, BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir called to the concerned to include Internet service providers into ITAS services or reduce the corporate tax of such organizations to a minimum.
He made the demand at a budget dialogue organized by the Center for Policy Dialogue on Saturday.
The BASIS president said the government would be able to generate more revenue from internet-based services if it would not impose taxes on the internet.
Syed Almas Kabir emphasized the GtoG agreement so that the local software companies can also provide services abroad.
At the same time, he opines that raising taxes on mobile phone transactions will be conflicting with digital growth.
