Leadership is needed in all areas of the family, society, state, workplace and organization. A good leader can work to build the future. This is how the leaders in the technology sector expressed their optimism among the participating BCS members.
They said this at the ‘Leadership Strategies for Business Excellence’ online training jointly organized by Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) and ICT Business Promotion Council (IBPC) on Sunday (April 18).
About 300 members of the Bangladesh Computer Society participated in the training to know the details of what qualities a leader needs to have, how to lead, how to deal with the staff.
Ejazur Rahman, Managing Director and Lead Consultant at Mind Mapper Bangladesh, presented the keynote address at the training.
Explaining the need for a leader to use automation in the workplace, Sabur Khan, Chairman of the board of trustees at Daffodil International University, said one should try to be a leader rather than a boss in the organization. The team should increase the use of automation.
Highlighting the importance of such a leadership program, Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) President Shahid-ul-Munir said such sessions would be very useful in the life of BCS members.
Syed Almas Kabir, President of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), elaborated on what qualities a good leader needs to have.
ISPAB President Aminul Hakim opines that every person needs to have leadership qualities from his family.
Mujahid Al Beruni Sujan, Joint Secretary, Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), also spoke at the event.
