Google has introduced a new feature for the Chrome 90 version of the browser. This allows the user to highlight a specific part of a page and send a link. News Engadget.
The technology giant launched the feature as an extension last year. This time it was launched as part of Chrome. As a result, you do not need to install anything else to get the benefit.
Suppose you want to share this article on a Wikipedia page about penguins where no penguin is afraid of humans. Earlier, if you shared the link, you had to mention that section separately.
But in the new feature, right-click on the section you want to display and select ‘Copy Link to Highlight’. Once the link is copied, you can send it to whomever you want. When the recipient clicks on that link, it will take him to that particular section. As a result, he will not need to read the entire page.
This will be very helpful for those who work in groups, especially colleagues and students.
Google has also added a new PDF viewer to view PDFs in its browser. It has the ability to view two pages at once, zoom in, go to specific pages, save and print with one click. In addition, the browser’s CPU usage has been reduced.
