Being an enlightened person, it is possible to pay the debts of father, mother, relatives, and others said the JUST Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain.
He expressed this opinion in the speech of the chief guest at the “Teachers-Students Discussion on Enhancing Academic Facilities” program held on Monday afternoon at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building’s gallery under the initiative of the University’s Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department.
Before this, various events including sports and student programming competitions were organized by the department and the prizes were distributed among the winners. In the ceremony, the outgoing batch students were felicitated with mementos and freshmen were felicitated with flowers.
Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said, the current era is the era of computers. Only meritorious students of the university get admission in CSE department. The world is now moving from the Fourth Industrial Revolution to the Fifth Industrial Revolution. Technology will lead this revolution. That’s why you have to be an enlightened person, that’s why you have to be more focused on studies. If you are enlightened people, then you can pay the blood debt of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata, the martyrs of the liberation war and the debt of the suffering of your father, mother and relatives. Otherwise it is not possible to repay this loan. If you can’t be a good programmer, you can’t be a quality student.
Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain also said that JUST is the fastest growing university in the country and is gradually progressing in the research. You alone can make this university stand tall in the court of the world. To build a smart Bangladesh, you have to make yourself competent.
CSE Department Chairman Prof. Dr. Syed Md. Ghalib chaired the event. The treasurer of JUST Professor Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Dr. H. M. Zakir Hossain, Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Office Professor Dr. Md. Alam Hossain, Associate Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Islam delivered their speeches as special guests.

M Ariful Haque, Zubair Al-Mahmood and other students of different years spoke among others.
