28 fintech innovations in 11 different categories were honored at the Fintech of the Year Awards at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden Hotel in the capital on Saturday. Out of these, 14 innovations won the prestigious FinTech Award and 14 innovations were given the Honorable Mention award. Among the awardees, bKash alone won 7 awards.
In the second phase of Bangladesh Fintech Awards, Magnus Corporation has won the year 2023 for Brokerage Management System as the best fintech innovative technology of the year. In addition, BariKoi Technologies received an Honorable Mention award for its AI-based dedicated customer selection solution bKash Loyalty and Automated KYC Contact Point Verification.
In the investment category, bKash Winner and Lanka Bangla Information System’s iBroker received the honorable mention for 5 types of savings facilities in one app. bKash Pioneer Winner in Remittance Category and City Remit received an Honorable Mention Award.
In the Financial Inclusion category, bKash, Seba Fintech Limited and Guardian Life Insurance Limited won the award for providing 5 types of savings facilities in one app.
Account Technologies Limited and bKash Synergy and EkPay won the Honorable Mention Award for launching voice payment facility in Payment.
In the Digital Lending category, IPDC Finance for IPDC Easy and Bank Asia and Era Infotech for Digital Nano Loan won the Honorable Mention award. Winner is bKash in Nano Loan. The winner for Advance Cod is Delivery Tiger.
Also Green Delta Winner and Milvic Bangladesh won Honorable Mention in Insurance category. S Manager was the winner in the startup category. bKash Generation Winner and UCB Fintech got the Honorable Mention in MFS Quota. IPDC is the winner in the NBFI category. In the bank category, IFIC Bank won the sub-branch winner and Prime Bank’s Prime Advance won United Commercial Bank’s Unite Enterprise Honorable Mention. And Best Innovation Bank is Mutual Trust Bank.
The ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, ULAB Vice-Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman, iDEA Foundation Vice President Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad and IBA Director Abdul Momen handed over the prizes to the winners at the ceremony.
With the courtesy of MasterCard, hosted by bKash Limited and in collaboration with Mutual Trust Bank, Upay, BASIS and The Daily Star, the award ceremony was initiated by Bangladesh FinTech Forum and organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum. The prestigious award was presented to the winners in the presence of around 500 individuals engaged in the fintech sector and representatives and experts from other key sectors.
Founder of Bangladesh Fintech Forum and Founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum Shariful Islam, World Bank Consultant and Senior Researcher and Policy Analyst of iDEA Foundation Hussain A Samad, BASIS former President Fahim Mashroor, Shamim Ahmed, Professor Syed Farhat Anwar and others were present on the occasion.
