According to a report, some iPhone users are going to get compensation in a lawsuit against Apple for slowing down their batteries. The lawsuit, known as ‘Batterygate‘, was filed by users of older Apple devices. They are each going to get about $65 in damages, said the lawyer in the case.
The deal covers the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus and first-generation iPhone SE models.
According to the settlement, Apple will pay at least $310 million to its affected customers. By doing this, each person will get about 65 dollars. But this compensation will be available only to those users who signed up in October 2020. So 100 million people who signed up during that period are going to get this compensation.
