Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development has issued new restrictions on workers. They cannot use iPhone and iPad for official work.
This news was reported by Interfax news agency citing Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev.
He told reporters in an online conference, ‘The use of Apple mobile devices, smartphones and tablets for accessing applications and email exchange at work has been banned.’
However, the minister said that employees with personal needs will be able to use the iPhone.
Earlier, Russia’s main internal security agency, the FSB, claimed that thousands of Apple devices had been disabled as a result of the US counter-espionage operation. Subsequently, this ban came from the ministry after two months.
