The National Helpline 333 run by a2i and the Teachers and Employees Retirement Benefit Board of Private Educational Institutions will work together to reduce the suffering of teachers-officers-employees of private educational institutions. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two institutions on Thursday at ICT Tower in Agargaon in the capital. Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, Project Director (Joint Secretary) of a2i and Principal Sharif Ahmed Sadi, Secretary, Private Educational Institutions Teacher and Staff Retirement Facility Board signed this MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
Under this agreement, National Helpline 333 and Private Educational Institutions Teachers and Employees Retirement Benefit Board will work in coordination to deliver one-time financial benefits services to MPO teachers and employees through online application in an easy and speedy manner. As a result, teachers and employees under MPO can easily know about the status of their application. Through the agents assigned at 333, applicants can know about their application process, can be sure about the current status of their previous applications and can get easy solutions for any complications faced during and after application.
The Hon’ble Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak will officially inaugurate this helpline program in Singra Upazila of Natore on August 12 (Saturday).
On the occasion, Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, Project Director (Joint Secretary) of a2i said, ‘National Helpline 333 and Private Educational Institutions Teacher-Employee Retirement Benefit Board are committed to work together in order to get retirement benefits for the teachers, officers and employees of MPO of the country without any kind of suffering. By doing this, as the retirement service of teachers and employees under MPO will be accelerated, the quality of services will also increase at the official level. In this case, necessary and appropriate steps will be taken in the security of information.
Principal Sharif Ahmed Sadi, Secretary of Private Educational Institutions Teachers and Employees Retirement Benefit Board, said, “Because of the agreement with a2i, the system of retirement benefit service is also faster by cooperating with National Helpline 333 in reducing the suffering in getting retirement benefits. Now, teachers or employees from villages do not have to come to Dhaka to know the status, they can know the status of their application instantly free of charge by calling this national helpline. By doing this, the suffering of teachers and employees will be reduced a lot.
It is to be noted that the National Helpline 333, which is being implemented under the Cabinet Division and Information and Communication Technology Department and managed by UNDP with the support of ‘a2i’, is working to implement the central information, service and complaint system of the government. Any citizen of the country can call 333 at any time and expatriates can call 09666789333 for information on government services, how to get services, contact information with public representatives and government employees, and solutions to social problems.
During the MoU signing ceremony, among others, Jamal Hussain, Programmer of Teachers and Employees Retirement Facility Board of Private Educational Institutions, ICT Consultant MM Elahi, Developer Golam Sarwar, Consultant (Senior Assistant Secretary) of a2i Al-Imran Ruhul Islam, Testing Engineer Didar- Board and related senior officials of E-Kibria and a2i were present.
