With the slogan ‘We will be rich in technology / We will build a smart Bangladesh’, the grand exhibition of latest information technology products ‘Smart Bangladesh Tech Expo 2023 Chattogram’ is going to be held for the first time at Chattogram GEC Convention Center on June 14-16. 81 IT institutions are participating in the exhibition organized by Bangladesh Computer Samity, Chattogram Branch.
On the occasion of ‘Smart Bangladesh Tech Expo 2023 Chattogram’, this information was conveyed at the press conference held at the Bangabandhu Hall of Chattogram Press Club on Tuesday (June 13). BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar, Vice President and central coordinator of the exhibition Md. Rashed Ali Bhuiya were present while the Chairman of BCS Chattogram branch and convener of the exhibition Md. Didarul Alam Chowdhury read out the written statement.
This time the BCS Chattogram Branch Vice Chairman Md. Didarul Islam, Secretary Suman Chowdhury, Treasurer Rakhal Chandra Nath, former chairman Md. Sufian Ali were present.
It was informed in the press conference that the exhibition will have 81 stalls and 16 pavilions with latest technology. Attractive gifts and discounts will be available on the purchase of technology products. Lottery will be held on entry tickets to the fair. There will be attractive prizes in the draw. It was also informed in the press conference that free internet and Wi-Fi zones will be available for the visitors. Besides, there will be Innovation Zone, Bangabandhu Corner, 360 Degree Photo Booth and Gaming Zone. New discoveries will be made in these zones. Besides, there will be opportunity to play games in the gaming zone. There will be a food court as well.
Expo convener Md. Didarul Alam Chowdhury said that in this exhibition, modern and lifestyle-based inventions of information technology will be displayed through which smart solutions can be found in ordinary life. Apart from this, there will be awareness, entertainment and educational variety of events, including 5 seminars and B2B sessions.
Smart Bangladesh Tech Expo 2023 Chattogram entry fee is 10 taka. There will be free entry for school students and journalists, as well as the members of Rotaract Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Leo Clubs and Lions Clubs. Social influencers will also have free entry to the exhibition.
It was informed in the press conference that on June 14 at 11 o’clock, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury (Naufel), MP, will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest. The Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University will be present as a special guest. BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar will preside over the inaugural function.
The exhibition will be open for visitors from 10 am to 8 pm.
In the press conference, the central coordinator of the exhibition and BCS vice-president Md. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan gave the welcome speeches and BCS President Engr. Subrata Sarkar answered the questions of the journalists.
