A memorandum of understanding has been signed between North South University (NSU) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for collaborative research and Artificial Intelligence-AI development. NSU said in a press release on Monday (June 12) that the agreement was signed on Sunday (June 11).
The agreement was signed at the BUET campus to strengthen joint research projects, academic partnerships, publications and other partnership initiatives, the release said.
NSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Atiqul Islam, Dean, Departmental Chairman and Director of NSU External Affairs Office Dr. Catherine Lee represented NSU. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Satyaprasad Majumdar represented his university and delegation.
The need to increase cooperation between public and private universities was emphasized in the memorandum signing ceremony.
It was further informed on the occasion that through this strategic partnership, NSU and BUET will contribute significantly to academic and scientific research and usher in a new era of collaboration and innovation between public and private universities in Bangladesh.
