Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandaker Golam Farooq said, ‘Cyber world is a big trap. If one falls into this trap once, his life will be over. Militants and drug gangs are using this technology to target the young generation. In this case, students and parents should be alert’.
The DMP Commissioner made this call while speaking at the merit scholarship and higher education support scholarship-2022 ceremony for meritorious students of the DMP family at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh on Saturday. This arrangement was made to encourage the meritorious students who got ‘A’ plus in SSC, HSC. Apart from this, 1 crore 13 lakh 52 thousand scholarships were given to 933 students who took place in public and private universities, medical and science and technology universities. DMP has been providing these merit scholarships and higher education support scholarships since 2017.
The Commissioner urged the students to not only get good results, but to move the country forward by being inspired by patriotism. He said, ‘The children have been placed in a good place, the family should not suffer from complacency. Where the child goes, with whom to mix all things should be taken care of. Time is very slippery. To fulfill their dreams, the hand of this path should be held more firmly.’
He said, ‘You have to give time to your child even in the middle of a hundred involvement, we have to play with them, we have to go around.’ And he requested the children to take care of their parents in their old age. Those who could not get results as expected or could not get a good place, urged them to work for the development of Bangladesh by making full use of the talent given by the creator without breaking down.
