Teletalk Bangladesh Limited has signed an agreement with Huawei to ensure a stronger 4G network and 5G readiness in rural and remote areas. The agreement was signed at Lakeshore Hotel Gulshan in the capital on Thursday (April 13).
Teletalk Bangladesh Managing Director A.K.M. Habibur Rahman; Project Director Md. Khairul Hasan, Expansion of Teletalk Network Up to Rural Areas and Network Readiness for 5G Services Project of Teletalk Bangladesh Limited; President of Huawei South Asia Representative Office and Huawei Bangladesh CEO Pan Junfeng (Peter) and Huawei’s Teletalk Account Director Guo Yu and other officials of the two companies were present at the signing ceremony.
According to the terms of the agreement, Huawei will work on the modernization and expansion of Teletalk’s core network, IP network, charging and billing systems and solutions in addition to the launch of Teletalk’s new 4G site.

Teletalk Bangladesh Managing Director A.K.M. Habibur Rahman said, “We want to modernize our network so that everyone across the country can enjoy a better network, and high-speed connectivity. Also we want to provide our customers with advanced telecommunication services at affordable prices. Huawei has the excellent technology, solutions and manpower required to fulfill this mission of Teletalk. So, we are very optimistic. We plan to complete the project by mid-2024.”
Bangladesh has been working with Huawei for the past 25 years and has been serving Teletalk since 2004 with new and innovative technology. In December 2021, Teletalk launched 5G service in Bangladesh with Huawei as its trusted partner.
