Romania approved a new law last week that would ban Huawei from building a FiveG network in the country. As it relates to the 2019 Washington Accords, any future partnership between Huawei and Romania will be banned.
None of the participating organizations in the building of FiveG network of the country can be controlled by foreign governments. Every company must have an own and transparent ownership structure. At the same time, there must be legal validity to adhere to transparent corporate practices.
The bill is awaiting parliamentary approval, which is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.
