Microsoft is secretly developing a new AI language model. In the meantime, the company is training its new language model on various subjects, The Information said in a report. News Indian Express.
The new AI language model is being called ‘MAI 1’ internally, two Microsoft employees said on condition of anonymity. Mustafa Suleman, co-founder of DeepMind and former CEO of AI startup Inflection, is in charge of this. He joined Microsoft last March as head of consumer AI. However, Microsoft has not officially announced any information about the new AI model.
Last month, Microsoft unveiled an AI model called Fitri Mini. However, the model named MAI1 is expected to be bigger than the previous model. As a result, it can easily compete with the AI language models created by Google and OpenAI. A preview version of the new model may be unveiled ahead of Microsoft’s developer conference next month.
