Sam Altman, the chief executive officer of OpenAI, the inventor of ChatGPT, has lost his job. OpenAI co-founder Greg Bruckman also resigned after Sam Altman was fired. News Reuters.
In a statement, OpenAI said Sam Altman was fired due to a lack of confidence in his ability to lead the organization. OpenAI’s Chief Technology Officer Meera Murati will serve as interim CEO.
The statement further informed that the decision regarding Sam has been taken after due review and due process. He was not communicating with the board of directors that way and kept a distance, which was hindering his ability to manage the organization. The board lacked confidence in Sam’s ability to lead OpenAI. Eventually, he was fired.
Sam started big competition in the technology world by bringing ChatGPT to the market. OpenAI gained fame after leaving ChatGPT in the market. Sam also got recognition.
ChatGPT has made great use of artificial intelligence technology. Tech giants like Meta, Microsoft, Google and Amazon have made big investments.
After being fired, Sam Altman told XHandle, ‘I had a good time at OpenAI. I am happy to work with talented people.’
