Banglalink proved itself as the best mobile operator in 4G network in Rajshahi after Sylhet. No other operator has been able to meet the standards set by the regulatory body in that area for data services. The most deplorable situation among the private operators here is the mobile operator Grameenphone as it has the highest number of subscribers. In this case, the benchmark is at least 7 Mbps, but in the Rajshahi division, Grameenphone’s 4G data speed is a little more than half of the standard -4.45. Banglalink has an index of 7.5 and Robi Axiota has an index of 6.28. At the bottom is Teletalk-2.58.
Although all the operators were able to get the value of 2 Mbps in 3G coverage, Teletalk could not get it for 51 points. However, Teletalk has been able to reach the standard with the success of the call. In this case Grameenphone has succeeded in 99.56% of cases. Banglalink and Robi have achieved equal 98.52% success.
This information was given by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) on 22 December after checking the quality of the network in an area of 2246 km in 8 districts and 44 Upazilas of Rajshahi Division. According to the report signed by the company’s director Md. Golam Razzak, the observation was carried out from August 29 to September 22 by Nemo Walker, R&S Scanner, Nemo Invex Two and Nemo Wide Catcher.
According to the attached map, the test was conducted in Joypurhat, Bogra, Naogaon, Chapainawabganj, Natore, Sirajganj, Paban and Rajshahi Sadar.
