The JCI Dhaka Independent, a brand new chapter of the Junior Chambers International (JCI) Bangladesh, has held their Inauguration Ceremony and first General Members Meeting (GMM) on Sunday.
The meeting was presided over by 2021 Local President of JCI Dhaka Independent Tasnuva Ahmed; Executive Vice President A A Kais; Secretary-General, Benazir Rahman & Chapter Mentor, Akif Mahir.
The presidency chain to Local President Tasnuva Ahmed was handed over by National President Niaz Morshed Elite at the beginning.
The inaugural GMM covered a broad range of agenda including the orientation of new members, sharing the 2021 Plan of Action for Projects presented by Vice President Ishrat Sultana and Annual Budget presented by Treasure Ashfaqur Rahman.
Ms. Tina Jabeen, CEO & MD, Startup Bangladesh joined the event as a special guest along with Ms. Farah Kabir, Country Director, Action Aid. The National Governing Boards & Other chapters Local presidents also joined the inauguration ceremony.
JCI is a worldwide organization of young professionals and leaders between the ages of 18 and 40. The JCI Headquarters is in St. Louis, Missouri, US. JCI Bangladesh is running its operation with around 18 local chapters with a member base of around 700 and the local chapters are functioning to serve the community, society and at the national level.
