In the last one year, due to forgetfulness, the people of Bangladesh have left behind the highest number of belongings in May and June. Most of the drop-offs occurred on weekends. And last year, clothes and umbrellas were in the first two places in the list of things forgotten by passengers across Bangladesh.
Next on the list were wallets, pillows and headphones. Bangladeshi people have left behind trivial things in Uber, such as unexpected things like speakers.
This was reported in the 8th edition of Uber’s Lost and Found Index published on Sunday.
According to a snapshot index of things left behind in cars, clothes are the most forgotten items by Uber passengers. Next are umbrellas, wallets, neck-pillows, headphones and speakers.
Dhaka tops the list of cities where passengers have lost the most belongings. The next places are Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi and Barisal respectively.
May 13, 2023 is among the days of the year that travelers leave the most items behind. Apart from this, passengers made more mistakes on June 9 and June 16, 2023.
The 3 days of the week with the most items were lost on Fridays. Then came Saturdays and Sundays.
Eight o’clock in the evening is the time of the day when passengers left the most belongings behind. After that at 7 pm and 9 pm left more things.
About this, Nasheed Ferdous Kamal, Country Head of Uber Bangladesh said, “The safety and comfort of passengers is very important to Uber. It also includes safely returning items left behind by passengers during the trip. Uber has some in-app options to find lost items. The Lost and Found Index is an excellent educational tool to inform travelers about this. We want to let the passengers know that we are ready to help them if they forget something during the ride.”
